When I was diagnosed with coeliac disease in 2015, it completely changed the way I thought about food. Suddenly, something I had always enjoyed became more complicated, and I realised how often people with dietary requirements miss out on treats that should bring joy. That experience made me determined to create cakes and bakes that are gluten-free but never feel like a compromise.
I bake from my coeliac safe, home kitchen where my passion for baking really comes to life. Baking has been a love of mine for as long as I can remember — I started out making cakes for family and friends, and over time it became a huge part of who I am.
During lockdown, I started experimenting with different recipes and began sharing my creations on social media. What started as a creative outlet soon turned into something much bigger, as I found myself connecting with others who were also searching for delicious, gluten-free alternatives. In 2021, I decided to take the leap and turn my passion into a business — and Gluten For Punishment was born.
Today, I’m committed to crafting beautiful, handcrafted cakes and bakes that everyone can enjoy, whether they’re gluten-free or not. From special occasion showstoppers to everyday treats, my goal is to make sure nobody feels left out at the table. Because good cake should be for everyone x
